Gina Empson – Founder and Director
Holds a BSc in Accounting & Economics from Southampton University, England and in 1983 qualified in London as a UK Chartered Accountant. She is a member of EXPERTsuisse and a licenced audit expert.
Transferred to PwC, as an auditor in 1984, Gina Empson worked thereafter for ten years, within the Serono Group, initially as the Financial Analyst to Fabio Bertarelli, the founder of Ares Serono and subsequently directing operational and commercial companies within the group. In 1999, she founded ICS Corporate Services SA (ICS), a Swiss and independent accounting firm, heart of The Business Harbour activities. Ten years later, she added Swiss Labour Contractors, a salary hosting company and more recently brought all the activities under the administrative platform that is The Business Harbour. Her clients benefit from her experience that spans more than 30 years in finance.
Gina Empson is a member of several boards including the Banque Cantonale Genevoise (BCGE), the pension fund, Genesia, the wealth management company, Bruellan SA, and the Association Genèveroule, she also volunteers as an auditor for two charitable foundations.
A whirlwind of energy helming a clear course in The Business Harbour as well as on her sailing boat.

Susana Vinagre – Salary Administration Manager
Susana Vinagre has been managing our payroll division since 2004. Expert in salary administration with more than 20 years experience, she has an in-depth understanding of Swiss labour law legislation and enjoys finding solutions for our clients, big and small. Susana began her career at Ernst & Young and then managed a significant European-wide payroll for an American data storage company before joining ranks with us. Efficient and proactive, Susana is so passionate about her profession that if she could live her life again she would dedicate it to payroll!

Jacques Kocher – Salary Administration Manager
With a degree in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Neuchâtel with a specialization in business management, Jacques Kocher is in charge of our salary division. Before joining us in 2014, he worked for Deloitte Consulting in Zurich and more recently with BDO implementing financial and salary applications. He has also worked with the International Red Cross in 5 different war torn countries, as administrative coordinator in the field. His rich and varied career path explains the depth of his professional, cultural and linguistic knowledge; matched only by his height at 197cm!

Nicolas Moget – Salary hosting Director
Nicolas is responsible for Swiss Labour Contractors, our salary hosting company. Before joining the world of salary hosting, some 4 years ago, he worked in IT audit with PwC and process consulting with CapGemini, internationally. His rigorous approach, languages and his understanding of the consulting world is invaluable in advising our salary hosting clients.
An excellent sailor, Nicolas understands the pleasure of coming into port after the difficulties of navigating a course alone as a consultant!

Laura Cantini – Director – Salary Hosting
Laura, our totally service-oriented Director at Swiss Labour Contractors, energizes through her natural enthusiasm both her colleagues and clients at The Business Harbour. Multilingual and multicultural with extensive experience in private banking, alternative investments, HR and career transition consulting as well as organizational and logistics roles, Laura is constantly raising awareness of the benefits of salary hosting for individuals, companies and organizations in an ever-changing work environment.
Always ready for a new challenge, she is the only member of our team to have co-piloted a MIG-31 jet!

Alain Jacot – Tax Expert
Alain Jacot is a tax expert in the real estate sector. With more than 20 years of experience, he advises on purchase/sale of properties and real estate companies with a specialisation in property investment funds. He previous tax experience includes the Cantonal tax authorities, PwC, Pennone & Partners and BakerTilly.

Eric Benoist – Accounting Manager
Eric Benoist started his professional career in the fascinating world of audit with amongst others PwC. He entered the commodity trading business with Cargill before being lured away to work for the International Road Union (IRU), the road transport organization which confederates some 73 countries worldwide. He stayed 15 years with the IRU, the last 10 years as CFO with a team of 12 people reporting to him. Via his interest in property, Eric became a Director of several real estate companies and supervised purchase/rate transactions, in Switzerland and abroad.
At The Business Harbour, Eric has returned to his roots and is our Accounting Manager. He looks after our diverse portfolio of accounting clients and manages the accounting team.
Involved in the associative life, Eric is also the treasurer of a local tennis club.

Xavier Rickenbacher – Senior accountant
Xavier has worked with us for more than 13 years before which he was with PwC. Polyglot, with a facility to unravel complicated transactions, combined with a high work capacity, Xavier is an excellent accountant. He helps our clients with his outstanding pragmatism and long experience. In particular, he works on IFRS accounting standards, indirect taxation and as company secretary.

Cristina Burcus – Accountant
With a degree from the University of Bucarest and an MBA from the University of Geneva, Cristina joined The Business Harbour in 2015. Her mandates cover both accounting and salary administration. Cristina brings a much appreciated professionalism and dedication to our team. Her previous accounting experience was with private companies and NGOs in Geneva.

Claude Perret – Accountant
Claude is an experienced accountant who joined our salary hosting team in August 2017.
He broadened his area of expertise with Berney Associés and obtained his Federal Diploma in 2006. That same year, Claude discovered accounting in a very different context at Freestudios, a video production and postproduction company in Geneva where he was appointed Financial and Administrative Manager.
After four years sailing around the world, it was only natural that Claude dropped anchor at the Harbour, to start a new journey in the accounting world. His know-how and proactive approach makes him a valuable member of the team.

Saskia Martinez – Accountant
Saskia joined us in 2016 having just obtained her Swiss Federal diploma in accounting. She brings with her 5 solid years of experience in a large accounting firm in Geneva. While Saskia works mainly on our accounting mandates she also works within the salary department. Thorough and blessed with precise attention to detail, Saskia is looking forward to applying the theory from her Federal Diploma to the practice. Originally from Locarno, she brings the Tessin warmth to The Business Harbour.

Christophe Guillaud – Salary administration specialist
After obtaining a degree from the University of Montpellier, Christophe left France to work for an IT multinational in Ireland. A few years later, he relocated to Switzerland where he gained more experience in human resources working for a recruitment agency.
He went on to work for ITX, based in Geneva, in a role in expatriate management where he discovered payrolling. Fascinated by its complexity, Christophe decided to make it his area of expertise and to specialise in the Swiss payroll system. In the summer of 2017, a favourable wind blew Christophe to The Business Harbour where he joined the salary administration department. On top of his international experience, Christophe brings to the team his commitment and the warmth of Southern France.

Hélène Tercier – Office Manager
After a BA in multilingual communication, Hélène completed her Masters of Arts in Translation at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of Geneva in 2015. During her studies, she notably worked for Swissport Geneva, the job that she left to join us. The Business Harbour benefits from her language abilities and her common sense, two advantages that allow her to effectively run our office and website, as well as our office communication. Besides her activity for The Business Harbour, she volunteers as a caption editor, translator and transcriber for TED.
